Abstract
In the last three decades a series of reforms have taken place in the family courts. A common goal by these reforms has been the need to extend the access to justice. The efficiency and effectiveness of judicial protection requires judicial intervention to be timely. For this reason, reform programs have given priority to eradicate court delay over other problems that courts face.The chapter critically analyses the consequences of those reforms.
