Abstract

<jats:title>A<jats:sc>bstract</jats:sc></jats:title><jats:p>The shape of the<jats:inline-formula><jats:alternatives><jats:tex-math>$$ {B}_s^0\to {D}_s^{\ast -}{\mu}^{+}{\nu}_{\mu } $$</jats:tex-math><mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mml:msubsup><mml:mi>B</mml:mi><mml:mi>s</mml:mi><mml:mn>0</mml:mn></mml:msubsup><mml:mo>→</mml:mo><mml:msubsup><mml:mi>D</mml:mi><mml:mi>s</mml:mi><mml:mrow><mml:mo>∗</mml:mo><mml:mo>−</mml:mo></mml:mrow></mml:msubsup><mml:msup><mml:mi>μ</mml:mi><mml:mo>+</mml:mo></mml:msup><mml:msub><mml:mi>ν</mml:mi><mml:mi>μ</mml:mi></mml:msub></mml:math></jats:alternatives></jats:inline-formula>differential decay rate is obtained as a function of the hadron recoil parameter using proton-proton collision data at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.7 fb<jats:sup><jats:italic>−</jats:italic>1</jats:sup>collected by the LHCb detector. The differential decay rate is fitted with the Caprini-Lellouch-Neubert (CLN) and Boyd-Grinstein-Lebed (BGL) parametrisations of the form factors, and the relevant quantities for both are extracted.</jats:p>
