Abstract

<jats:title>A<jats:sc>bstract</jats:sc> </jats:title><jats:p>A data sample collected with the LHCb detector corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb<jats:sup><jats:italic>−</jats:italic>1</jats:sup> is used to measure eleven <jats:italic>CP</jats:italic> violation observables in <jats:italic>B</jats:italic><jats:sup><jats:italic>±</jats:italic></jats:sup><jats:italic>→ Dh</jats:italic><jats:sup><jats:italic>±</jats:italic></jats:sup> decays, where <jats:italic>h</jats:italic> is either a kaon or a pion. The neutral <jats:italic>D</jats:italic> meson decay is reconstructed in the three-body final states: <jats:italic>K</jats:italic><jats:sup><jats:italic>±</jats:italic></jats:sup><jats:italic>π</jats:italic><jats:sup>∓</jats:sup><jats:italic>π</jats:italic><jats:sup>0</jats:sup>; <jats:italic>π</jats:italic><jats:sup>+</jats:sup><jats:italic>π</jats:italic><jats:sup><jats:italic>−</jats:italic></jats:sup><jats:italic>π</jats:italic><jats:sup>0</jats:sup>; <jats:italic>K</jats:italic><jats:sup>+</jats:sup><jats:italic>K</jats:italic><jats:sup><jats:italic>−</jats:italic></jats:sup><jats:italic>π</jats:italic><jats:sup>0</jats:sup> and the suppressed <jats:italic>π</jats:italic><jats:sup><jats:italic>±</jats:italic></jats:sup><jats:italic>K</jats:italic><jats:sup>∓</jats:sup><jats:italic>π</jats:italic><jats:sup>0</jats:sup> combination. The mode where a large <jats:italic>CP</jats:italic> asymmetry is expected, <jats:italic>B</jats:italic><jats:sup><jats:italic>±</jats:italic></jats:sup><jats:italic>→</jats:italic> [<jats:italic>π</jats:italic><jats:sup><jats:italic>±</jats:italic></jats:sup><jats:italic>K</jats:italic><jats:sup>∓</jats:sup><jats:italic>π</jats:italic><jats:sup>0</jats:sup>]<jats:sub><jats:italic>D</jats:italic></jats:sub><jats:italic>K</jats:italic><jats:sup><jats:italic>±</jats:italic></jats:sup>, is observed with a significance greater than seven standard deviations. The ratio of the partial width of this mode relative to that of the favoured mode, <jats:italic>B</jats:italic><jats:sup><jats:italic>±</jats:italic></jats:sup><jats:italic>→</jats:italic> [<jats:italic>K</jats:italic><jats:sup><jats:italic>±</jats:italic></jats:sup><jats:italic>π</jats:italic><jats:sup>∓</jats:sup><jats:italic>π</jats:italic><jats:sup>0</jats:sup>]<jats:sub><jats:italic>D</jats:italic></jats:sub><jats:italic>K</jats:italic><jats:sup><jats:italic>±</jats:italic></jats:sup>, is <jats:italic>R</jats:italic><jats:sub>ADS(<jats:italic>K</jats:italic>)</jats:sub> = (1<jats:italic>.</jats:italic>27 <jats:italic>±</jats:italic> 0<jats:italic>.</jats:italic>16 <jats:italic>±</jats:italic> 0<jats:italic>.</jats:italic>02) <jats:italic>×</jats:italic> 10<jats:sup><jats:italic>−</jats:italic>2</jats:sup>. Evidence for a large <jats:italic>CP</jats:italic> asymmetry is also seen: <jats:italic>A</jats:italic><jats:sub>ADS(<jats:italic>K</jats:italic>)</jats:sub> = −0<jats:italic>.</jats:italic>38 <jats:italic>±</jats:italic> 0<jats:italic>.</jats:italic>12 <jats:italic>±</jats:italic> 0<jats:italic>.</jats:italic>02.
