After subtracting the contributions of the flow background, the per-trigger yields are extracted on both the near and away sides, and the ratio in Pb–Pb collisions with respect to pp collisions (<jats:inline-formula><jats:alternatives><jats:tex-math>$$I_{\textrm{AA}}$$</jats:tex-math><mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"> <mml:msub> <mml:mi>I</mml:mi> <mml:mtext>AA</mml:mtext> </mml:msub> </mml:math></jats:alternatives></jats:inline-formula>) is computed. These findings are in good agreement with previous ALICE measurements from two-particle correlations triggered by neutral pions (<jats:inline-formula><jats:alternatives><jats:tex-math>$$\pi ^{0}$$</jats:tex-math><mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"> <mml:msup> <mml:mi>π</mml:mi> <mml:mn>0</mml:mn> </mml:msup> </mml:math></jats:alternatives></jats:inline-formula>–h) and charged hadrons (h–h) in Pb–Pb collisions at <jats:inline-formula><jats:alternatives><jats:tex-math>$$\sqrt{s_{\textrm{NN}}}~=~2.76$$</jats:tex-math><mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"> <mml:mrow> <mml:msqrt> <mml:msub> <mml:mi>s</mml:mi> <mml:mtext>NN</mml:mtext> </mml:msub> </mml:msqrt> <mml:mspace /> <mml:mo>=</mml:mo> <mml:mspace /> <mml:mn>2.76</mml:mn> </mml:mrow> </mml:math></jats:alternatives></jats:inline-formula> TeV.
