Abstract
This guest post on a group blog for established academics examines the leaks on the US counterterrorism program PRISM. The piece argues that in the context of the very controlled protection of national security with special emphasis on the doctrine of state secrets privilege persistently engaged in by the Obama administration, the revelations should not have come as a surprise. The piece is available at http://humanrights.ie/civil-liberties/grozdanova-on-us-surveillance-leaks/.
