Abstract

We report here the first whole-genome sequence of a skin-associated strain of <i>Staphylococcus hominis</i> determined using the PacBio long-read sequencing platform. <i>S. hominis</i> is a major commensal of the skin microflora. This genome sequence adds to our understanding of this species and will aid studies of gene traffic between staphylococci.
