Abstract

This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows:. To evaluate the effects of chloroquine (CQ) and hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) as:. an antiviral treatment on death and time to clearance of the virus from clinical samples and recovery in people with COVID-19; a prophylactic treatment on prevention of COVID-19 in people at risk of SARS-CoV-2 exposure; a prophylactic treatment on prevention of COVID-19 in people who have been exposed to SARS-CoV-2.
