Abstract

<i>Streptomyces kaniharaensis</i> is a Gram-positive bacterium that produces formycin A 5'-phosphate, a C nucleotide with antimicrobial and anticancer activity. Here, we report the sequencing, assembly, and annotation of the draft genome sequence of <i>Streptomyces kaniharaensis</i> Shomura and Niida.
