Abstract

<jats:title>A<jats:sc>bstract</jats:sc></jats:title><jats:p>A precision measurement of the<jats:inline-formula><jats:alternatives><jats:tex-math>$$ {B}_c^{+} $$</jats:tex-math><mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mml:msubsup><mml:mi>B</mml:mi><mml:mi>c</mml:mi><mml:mo>+</mml:mo></mml:msubsup></mml:math></jats:alternatives></jats:inline-formula>meson mass is performed using proton- proton collision data collected with the LHCb experiment at centre-of-mass energies of 7<jats:italic>,</jats:italic>8 and 13 TeV, corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 9<jats:italic>.</jats:italic>0 fb<jats:sup><jats:italic>−</jats:italic>1</jats:sup>. Combining the results of the individual decay channels, the<jats:inline-formula><jats:alternatives><jats:tex-math>$$ {B}_c^{+} $$</jats:tex-math><mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mml:msubsup><mml:mi>B</mml:mi><mml:mi>c</mml:mi><mml:mo>+</mml:mo></mml:msubsup></mml:math></jats:alternatives></jats:inline-formula>mass is measured to be 6274<jats:italic>.</jats:italic>47<jats:italic>±</jats:italic>0<jats:italic>.</jats:italic>27 (stat)<jats:italic>±</jats:italic>0<jats:italic>.</jats:italic>17 (syst) MeV<jats:italic>/c</jats:italic><jats:sup>2</jats:sup>. This is the most precise measurement of the<jats:inline-formula><jats:alternatives><jats:tex-math>$$ {B}_c^{+} $$</jats:tex-math><mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mml:msubsup><mml:mi>B</mml:mi><mml:mi>c</mml:mi><mml:mo>+</mml:mo></mml:msubsup></mml:math></jats:alternatives></jats:inline-formula>mass to date. The difference between the<jats:inline-formula><jats:alternatives><jats:tex-math>$$ {B}_c^{+} $$</jats:tex-math><mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mml:msubsup><mml:mi>B</mml:mi><mml:mi>c</mml:mi><mml:mo>+</mml:mo></mml:msubsup></mml:math></jats:alternatives></jats:inline-formula>and<jats:inline-formula><jats:alternatives><jats:tex-math>$$ {B}_s^0 $$</jats:tex-math><mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mml:msubsup><mml:mi>B</mml:mi><mml:mi>s</mml:mi><mml:mn>0</mml:mn></mml:msubsup></mml:math></jats:alternatives></jats:inline-formula>meson masses is measured to be 907<jats:italic>.</jats:italic>75<jats:italic>±</jats:italic>0<jats:italic>.</jats:italic>37 (stat)<jats:italic>±</jats:italic>0<jats:italic>.</jats:italic>27 (syst) MeV<jats:italic>/c</jats:italic>.</jats:p>
