Abstract

<jats:p>The four decays, <a:math xmlns:a="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><a:msubsup><a:mi mathvariant="normal">Λ</a:mi><a:mi>b</a:mi><a:mn>0</a:mn></a:msubsup><a:mo stretchy="false">→</a:mo><a:mrow><a:msubsup><a:mi mathvariant="normal">Σ</a:mi><a:mi>c</a:mi><a:mrow><a:mo stretchy="false">(</a:mo><a:mo>*</a:mo><a:mo stretchy="false">)</a:mo><a:mo>+</a:mo><a:mo>+</a:mo></a:mrow></a:msubsup><a:msup><a:mi>D</a:mi><a:mrow><a:mo stretchy="false">(</a:mo><a:mo>*</a:mo><a:mo stretchy="false">)</a:mo><a:mo>−</a:mo></a:mrow></a:msup><a:msup><a:mi>K</a:mi><a:mo>−</a:mo></a:msup></a:mrow></a:math>, are observed for the first time using proton-proton collision data collected with the LHCb detector at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of <j:math xmlns:j="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><j:mn>6</j:mn><j:mtext> </j:mtext><j:mtext> </j:mtext><j:msup><j:mi>fb</j:mi><j:mrow><j:mo>−</j:mo><j:mn>1</j:mn></j:mrow></j:msup></j:math>. By considering the <l:math xmlns:l="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><l:msubsup><l:mi mathvariant="normal">Λ</l:mi><l:mi>b</l:mi><l:mn>0</l:mn></l:msubsup><l:mo stretchy="false">→</l:mo><l:mrow><l:msubsup><l:mi mathvariant="normal">Λ</l:mi><l:mi>c</l:mi><l:mo>+</l:mo></l:msubsup><l:msup><l:mover accent="true"><l:mi>D</l:mi><l:mo stretchy="false">¯</l:mo></l:mover><l:mn>0</l:mn></l:msup><l:msup><l:mi>K</l:mi><l:mo>−</l:mo></l:msup></l:mrow></l:math> decay as reference channel, the following branching fraction ratios are where the first uncertainties are statistical, the second are systematic, and the third are due to uncertainties in the branching fractions of intermediate particle decays.
