Abstract

<jats:title>A<jats:sc>bstract</jats:sc> </jats:title> <jats:p>The decays of the χ<jats:sub>b1</jats:sub>(1P), χ<jats:sub>b2</jats:sub>(1P), χ<jats:sub>b1</jats:sub>(2P) and χ<jats:sub>b2</jats:sub>(2P) mesons into the Υ(1S)μ<jats:sup>+</jats:sup>μ<jats:sup> <jats:italic>−</jats:italic> </jats:sup> final state are observed with a high significance using proton-proton collision data collected with the LHCb detector and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb<jats:sup> <jats:italic>−</jats:italic>1</jats:sup>. The newly observed decays together with the Υ(2S) → Υ(1S)π<jats:sup>+</jats:sup>π<jats:sup> <jats:italic>−</jats:italic> </jats:sup> and Υ(3S) → Υ(2S)π<jats:sup>+</jats:sup>π<jats:sup> <jats:italic>−</jats:italic> </jats:sup> decay modes are used for precision measurements of the mass and mass splittings for the hidden-beauty states.</jats:p>
