Abstract
Balloon Latam uses an intervention model focusing on community development amongst rural entrepreneurs and a business model which generates revenue through a Fellows programme and stakeholder partnerships. Balloon operates across rural locations in Latin America; each entrepreneurship programme is adapted according to the needs of each community based on social, cultural, historical and economic circumstances. This case highlights the importance of applying this approach as a social enterprise grows as the business considers international expansion and replication across borders.
