Abstract

<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>The multihadron decays <jats:inline-formula><jats:alternatives><jats:tex-math>$$ {\Lambda}_b^0 $$</jats:tex-math><mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"> <mml:msubsup> <mml:mi>Λ</mml:mi> <mml:mi>b</mml:mi> <mml:mn>0</mml:mn> </mml:msubsup> </mml:math></jats:alternatives></jats:inline-formula> → <jats:italic>D</jats:italic>+<jats:italic>pπ−π−</jats:italic> and <jats:inline-formula><jats:alternatives><jats:tex-math>$$ {\Lambda}_b^0 $$</jats:tex-math><mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"> <mml:msubsup> <mml:mi>Λ</mml:mi> <mml:mi>b</mml:mi> <mml:mn>0</mml:mn> </mml:msubsup> </mml:math></jats:alternatives></jats:inline-formula> → <jats:italic>D</jats:italic><jats:sup>*</jats:sup>+<jats:italic>pπ−π−</jats:italic> are observed in data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb<jats:sup><jats:italic>−</jats:italic>1</jats:sup>, collected in proton-proton collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV by the LHCb detector.
