Abstract

Session Aims: • To introduce the potential of sensory modulation for the well-being and engagement of university students. • To discuss the impact of using items of sensory equipment on self-regulation in relation to factors such as anxiety and concentration. • To highlight the benefits of flexible teaching and learning approaches in supporting student well-being. This session links to the overall conference themes by introducing innovation teaching and learning approaches to support student wellbeing. The session aligns with United Nations Sustainable Development goals, quality education and good health and wellbeing and Advance HE strategy 2021-24, advancing education to meet evolving needs of students and society and enhancing learning. The session is intended to appeal to educators working within or who are interested in student wellbeing. The practical nature of the session and tips will be transferable into the practice of others.
