Abstract

Turner syndrome (TS), in which there is loss of genetic material from the second X chromosome, affects approximately 1:2000 females. Life expectancy is reduced by at least 10 years.1 2 Approximately 50% of the increased mortality is due to cardiovascular disease which is primarily acquired in nature.2
