Abstract

<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>We investigate the impact of sterile neutrinos on the decay rate of extra <jats:inline-formula><jats:alternatives><jats:tex-math>$$Z'$$</jats:tex-math><mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"> <mml:msup> <mml:mi>Z</mml:mi> <mml:mo>′</mml:mo> </mml:msup> </mml:math></jats:alternatives></jats:inline-formula>s with mass in the TeV range in heterotic string derived models. We explore the impact of sterile neutrinos on the current <jats:inline-formula><jats:alternatives><jats:tex-math>$$Z'$$</jats:tex-math><mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"> <mml:msup> <mml:mi>Z</mml:mi> <mml:mo>′</mml:mo> </mml:msup> </mml:math></jats:alternatives></jats:inline-formula> mass exclusion limits at the LHC, and how these bounds change when the parameter space of this specific class of models is modified.</jats:p>
