Abstract

<jats:p>The monoglucuronides of resveratrol were prepared from resveratrol triacetate. They showed contrasting properties in aqueous solution: facile <jats:italic>E</jats:italic>/<jats:italic>Z</jats:italic> isomerisation for the 3-<jats:italic>O</jats:italic>-isomer and ready H/D exchange, without isomerisation, for the 4′-<jats:italic>O</jats:italic>-isomer.</jats:p>
